Easy ways to cure plantar warts
Plantar warts
are the type of warts that grow in the sole of your foot. These
warts may cause pain when you walk. Since the warts are under constant
pressure due to body weight they grow inwards causing pain. It is
not easy to remove plantar warts and even if you remove plantar
warts it may even grow again. In such cases you have to consult
your doctor for an alternative treatment. These warts can be contracted
by others in public pools and showers. These warts spread easily
to others and hence contagious. There are many topical acids that
are used for treating plantar warts. Salicylic acids of different
strengths are applied to the warts daily. Debridement of the lesions
has to be done to remove all the dead skin so that the treatment
of the acid applications would be more effective. Weekly debridements
are recommended. An anti cancer drug called 5% Flourouricil is used
to treat plantar warts. This chemical is a protein inhibitor and
hence the patients are treated every night with this chemical. Before
applying this chemical debriding has to be done by a doctor for
the chemical to be more effective.
Dinitrochlorobenzene
is a chemical that is also used for treating plantar warts. This
chemical has to be administered by a doctor since this chemical
is bound to cause genetic mutation. This chemical is rarely used
now a days due to its allergic reaction on the person using it.
Bleomycin an injectable is also used in treating warts in the sole
of the foot. Surgical treatments like blunt dissection can also
be used to remove plantar warts. Going for such surgical treatments
would cause bleeding and there is every chance of getting scars.
Hyfercation can also be done on the warts to remove them. Hyfercation
is done using an electric needle. The lesion will vaporize at certain
settings. Needling is another method to remove warts. The lesion
is repeated punctured with a needle and then an injection of cortisone
is given into the wart. These are some of the methods by which a
plantar wart can be removed.
