Clove oil is an excellent essential oil that has purifying properties. This oil is irritating to the skin in its purest form hence it is mixed with a carrier oil like grape seed oil before using it. For severe acne this oil is used as spot treatment in its fullest strength. If diluted, this clove oil can be used for treating existing pimples / acne and the emerging blemishes. If you are going to use it at its fullest strength then you have consult a homeopathic professional before deciding on it. Another essential oil that has anti-bacterial and soothing properties is the Lavender Oil. This oil is used for preventive treatment. This oil stops the emerging pimples/acne effectively. Carrier oil is used along with lavender oil for treatment. An aromatic essential oil that is used for excessive oily skin is the Rosewood oil. This oil reduces the sebum production and thus stops the breakout of pimples/acne. This oil is not recommended for dry skin or sensitive skin. This oil is also used for spot treatment of pimples/acne.
